Preset Reference

An up-to-date reference of all the presets in Conigs Mixtape.

Curvy Connector (v15+/CC2018+)(UPDATED!)
Updated February 2018
Connects a curved line between two layers’ anchor points. Includes controls for stroke styling, curve amount and direction, sharpness of curve, position of mid-point, start and end colors, and trim. Creates new shape layer (apply with no layer selected).

Connect This Layer at start of connection
To That Layer at end of connection

Bias Shift the midpoint of the curve toward the start or end
Start/End Color Color at the start and end of the connection
Color Position Shift the position of the gradient along the connection
Trim Controls Standard shape layer trim controls for easy access

Easy Line
Creates a line with a keyframable length and angle. Option to center line. Includes controls for stroke style and trim. Creates new shape layer (apply with no layer selected).

Length Length of line in pixels
Angle Angle of line
Centered Center the line if checked, start the line at the anchor point if not
Stroke Color Color of stroke
Stroke Width Width of stroke in pixels
Trim Controls Standard shape layer trim controls for easy access

Fractal Wipe (Linear)
Applies a linear wipe with distortion and fractal noise for a more irregular look. Use as a track matte. Creates a new comp-sized solid (apply with no layer selected). Further refine and experiment with Turbulent Displace and Fractal Noise effect controls.

Completion Transition completion from 0-100%
Wipe Angle Angle of wipe
Width Width of fractal/gradient area (aka feathering)
Distortion Speed Evolutions Turbulent Displace goes through during the transition
Noise Speed Evolutions Fractal Noise goes through during the transition
Turbulent Displace Further refine and experiment with standard effect controls
Fractal Noise Further refine and experiment with standard effect controls

Look At Me (NEW!)
Added February 2018
Apply to a 2D layer and it will point at the selected layer in the comp. Includes controls for a delay and manual rotation offset. (3D support coming in a later release.)

Look At Me Layer to point at
Delay (s) Time delay
Rotaion Offset Manually add or subtract rotation

Measurements
Lists out the bounding box measurements of the layer the preset is applied to. Great for creating a box around type (link rectangle size to Measurements size) or attaching layers to the edge or center of another layer.

Sample Current Time Get measurements at Playhead/Current Time Indicator (CTI)
Sample Time Time measurements are being taken in seconds from layer Start Time
Use Layer Scale Adjust measurements based on layer scaling
Composition Space Adjust measurements to the composition instead of layer space
Padding Add padding to all edges of measurement (in pixels)
Size Width and height of bounding box (in pixels)
Center Center of bounding box (in pixels)
Top-Left Top left corner of bounding box (in pixels)
Bottom-Right Bottom right corner of bounding box (in pixels)

Oscillate
Outputs the result of Sine, Cosine, Square, Sawtooth, and Triangle waves. Includes controls for minimum and maximum results, and ability to sample time from the layer or comp. Point another property (like position or scale) to the result for an easy oscillating animation.

Result Pickwhip/link a property to here to have it controled by the wave
Wave The type of wave produced (Sine, Cosine, Square, Sawtooth, or Triangle)
Invert Wave Flip the result of the wave
Wave Duration (s) Length of wave in seconds
Min/Max Value Minum and maximum result of wave
Time (seconds) Time used to calculate wave, can be linked to a different property (see expression comments(
Use Comp Time By default, use comosition time to calculate wave
From In Point Start time from layer In Point instead of using comp time.
Time Multiplier Moves time faster for a higher frequency wave
Time Offset Add or subtract from Time to get that wave just right.

Speed Racer (NEW!)
Added February 2018
Select a layer and the preset will convert the speed (based on position) to range of your setting. Useful for controlling scale, particle count/color/size, or any other parameter from the speed of another layer. Use an expression pickwhip to point to the Result of the effect.

table>

Driver Layer Layer to measure speed from Delay Time delay in seconds Min/Max Speed Range of speed to capture—eyeball this from the speed graph Min/Max Output Remapped range for the result Result Pickwhip/link a property to here to have it controled by the speed

Tape Measure
Measure the length and angle between two points. Useful for pointing one layer at another or just finding the distance between two layers.

Start/End Points to measure—can be pickwhipped/linked to other layer positions
Length Linear measurement of length between points in pixels
Width Difference of x-axis in pixels between points
Height Difference of y-axis in pixels between points
Angle Angle measurement between points from Start

Type On Cursor
Adds a type-on effect with a leading cursor to type. Includes controls for type of cursor (including custom), frequency, and color.

Completion Type transition completion from 0-100%
Cursor Enabled Show cursor
Cursor Type Different types of cursors—custom cursor is defined in Source Text expression
Blink Frequency Number of times cursor flashes per second when type is not animating
Cursor Pause Time in seconds after type stops animating before cursor begins blinking again
Cursor Color Color of cursor

Type Window (v15+/CC2018+) (NEW!)
Added February 2018
Apply to a text layer and this preset will create a dynamic mask fitting the type. Useful for text reveals or hides. Includes controls for padding and offset.
An additional preset with a text animator already applied and animated is inlcuded. (conigs_TextWindow-Reveal).

Sample Time Time from layer Start Time where measurement is taken—make sure this is a time where type is not animated so the mask not changing
Padding Add padding to all edges of mask
Offset Adjust positioning of mask

Wavy Line
Creates a wavy line with controls similar to Zig Zag. Includes an offset control to animate the wave. Creates new shape layer (apply with no layer selected).

Line Length Horizontal length of line in pixels
Centered Center the line if checked, start the line at the anchor point if not
Wave Size Height of waves
Ridges Number of waves along line (identical to Zig Zag operator)
Offset Offset the waves along the line—animate this to get a wiggly line

Wiggly Type
Adds a stop-motion style wiggle to your type. Includes controls for X and Y wiggle, FPS, and how closely the letters move together.

Wiggle X Maximum horizontal wiggle in pixels
Wiggle Y Maximum vertical wiggle in pixels
FPS Frames per second of wiggle
Similarity Likelihood of adjascent letters to move in the same direction
Random Seed Adjust the random seed of the wiggle
